The Assembler produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed components, resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifies supervisor to obtain additional resources.

Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs as needed. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies; works with purchasing to place and expedite orders. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

Must be technically and mechanically inclined, possessing dexterity, ability to use tools effectively, mechanical intuition, and problem‑solving skills. Consistently handles multiple projects and assignments, meets deadlines, adapts to changing priorities, and functions effectively in a busy work environment. Demonstrates excellent attention to detail, professional attitude, reliability, strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, prioritization, and a detail‑oriented approach. Maintains continuous and persistent follow‑up.
