Position: Principal Systems Engineer (onsite)

What You Will Do

  • Lead the design, integration, and testing of advanced algorithms including tracking, tasking, and reasoning in a high-performance command and control setting.
  • Lead the development and validation of complex models and simulations, including sensor capabilities and system-wide behavior.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Provide technical expertise and assessment to program leadership and the software engineering team.
  • Support test events, with responsibility for algorithm configuration and performance.
  • Serve as a senior liaison with internal leadership and external customers, representing the program in reviews and stakeholder briefings.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience applying extensive expertise; solves complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity; work is performed with minimal direction; results are reviewed over a long time horizon.
  • Experience with C2

    BMC Next Program and Global task order.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TOP SECRET security clearance is required prior to start date (with SCI eligibility).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience working with Missile Defense Agency. Previous experience on the C2

    BMC Program.
  • Experience evaluating process and product performance: interface with engineering counterparts to ensure all deliverables meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supervising product development lifecycle activities, including requirements allocation, architecture definition, design, integration, test, and acceptance, providing strategic oversight and risk mitigation.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
