Job Details

We are on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining the high-quality standards of our welding operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting weldments to ensure they meet specific codes and ISO standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of welds according to the company's quality control standards, welding codes, and ISO requirements.
  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and procedures.
  • Evaluate and interpret blueprints, specifications, and procedures for welding and fabrication.
  • Inspect raw materials, equipment, and welding consumables to ensure conformance with the company s quality standards.
  • Perform visual inspections of welds, including structural, pipe, and plate welds.
  • Use non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to inspect welds.
  • Prepare, maintain, and present clear and concise inspection reports.
  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve quality issues and improve production methods.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the welding team.
  • Ensure all welding work follows safety standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is a must.
  • Extensive knowledge of welding procedures and practices, including MIG and aluminum.
  • Proficient in interpreting blueprints and specifications.
  • Excellent understanding of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a dedication to quality.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in the welding industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
