Manufacturing Production Operator (Fiber Attach) Second shift
Location:
Colorado Springs, CO.
Second shift hours:
Monday‑Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM.
Position at Samtec, Inc.
Pay: $18.25 – $18.75 per hour plus 10% shift differential and applicable bonus, commensurate with experience.

Responsible for inspection of advanced products and operation of semiconductor backend equipment (wirebonders, including wedge and ball, automated die‑attach equipment).
Essential Functions/Responsibilities- Read, understand and follow processing instructions for assembly processes.
- Possess the dexterity necessary to perform manual and automated assembly processes.
- Control and operate computerized microelectronic assembly equipment.
- Handle silicon wafers and other materials with care.
- Have experience with semiconductor backend equipment or demonstrate a high degree of aptitude (typically 60 days learning curve).
- Operate high‑precision metrology and inspection microscopes and disposition materials with details regarding accept/reject status.
- Use a microscope for extended periods of time.
- Communicate effectively with co‑workers (written and verbal).
- Maintain cleanroom etiquette and equipment cleanliness.
- Work in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency without sacrificing safety or quality.
- One year of previous production/manufacturing or inspection experience.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Willingness to adhere to department safety rules; may be exposed to noise, hazardous materials, and chemicals; protective gear required.
- Steady hands.
- Good hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to work in a clean work environment.
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes; no sensory deprivation or paralysis of limbs.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Training RequiredOn‑the‑job training as appropriate.
