Yard Mechanic & Operator

The Yard Mechanic & Operator is responsible for the daily maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of the yard, materials, and equipment. Working closely with the yard staff, this position will ensure efficient and timely execution of tasks.

• Maintains and operates yard equipment screen Plants and Wood Grinders including greasing and routine maintenance, pre and post inspections of equipment before and after shift
• May also operator and Run skid-steers, loader, forklifts, water truck, and mowers
• Screens materials, mixes soil products, and loads out customers
• Maintains a clean and organized yard and equipment that is presentable to clients and potential customers
• Treats clients and potential clients with respect
• Other duties as assigned

• Welding Experience for Repairs and Fabrications
• Experience working on grinders, screen plants, stacker conveyors, trommel screens, loaders and other construction equipment.
• Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Respectful and tactful approach to all customers and employees
• Must pass background check consisting of criminal record
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
• Demonstrate dependability and efficient work practices. Excellent customer service, communication, and listening skills
• Must be highly adaptable to the kinds of change that comes along with working in an entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to work in and promote a team-oriented environment
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Perform all duties in a safe and productive manner, and make recommendations for a safer work area
• Ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures to achieve safety objectives
• Must be willing to do things outside of your job description. All team members help and support other departments when necessary
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• Ability to lift to up to 75 lbs. (heavier things will require another person to help)
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, crawling, stretching and standing
• Must be able to work in all types of weather
