Aboutthe Role
We are seeking an Estate Planning / Probate Paralegal to support our attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services to clients navigating estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. This role is ideal for a highly detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured environment, communicates with empathy, and takes pride in keeping complex matters organized and moving forward.
You will play a key role in both client experience and case management, working closely with attorneys, clients, financial institutions, and courts.
Key Responsibilities- Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related correspondence.
- Prepare asset schedules and assist with trust funding documentation.
- Coordinate the signing of estate planning documents and maintain organized client files.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and follow up on outstanding items.
- Prepare probate pleadings, court filings, and related documentation.
- Assist with trust administration tasks, including notices, inventories, and accountings.
- Communicate with courts, financial institutions, and clients.
- Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and distributions.
- Maintain case files and document management systems.
- Calendar deadlines and manage task lists for attorneys.
- Prepare correspondence and client status updates.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management software preferred.
- Experience in estate planning and administration a plus, but not mandatory.
