Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Principal Engineer Systems – Global Level II Systems Engineer (25‑516) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.

This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on‑site work with no remote options.

BMC, our teams are dedicated to developing and delivering innovative solutions to address our customers' most complex challenges, including cyber‑resilient mission systems, in an Agile environment. This position is based at Schriever AFB (Task Order 60 and Task Order
3). The successful candidate will diagnose, mitigate, and troubleshoot issues and contribute as part of an on‑site team providing 24x7 support for globally dispersed C2

BMC application suites operating across various time zones. At C2

• Will lead or participate in system troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance, including on‑site and remote telephonic support
• Will serve as a subject matter expert for C2
  
  BMC applications, providing Level 2 troubleshooting, break/fix solutions, and preventive maintenance support, with regular interaction with remote C2
  
  BMC sites and varying levels of leadership within the C2
  
  BMC Command Center
• Must be a proactive problem solver, capable of planning, coordinating, directing, and managing individual projects with minimal supervision
• Our Level 2 Systems Engineers are empowered to think innovatively, from automating system provisioning to enhancing enterprise monitoring
• Position usually is Mon‑Fri:
  Potential surges may require on‑call, evenings, and weekends support during system anomalies and/or tests
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required

• A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM‑related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 4 years of relevant work experience
• Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, CySA+, CND, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.) at the time of application. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period.
