Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer to work on-site at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO for our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program. We liaison with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Satellite Control Network (SCN) to support our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program, and to provide satellite support services to our mission critical customer.
FROST conducts real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End-of-Life operations for all NOPS (NRO Operations Squadron) missions.
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Spacecraft Operations Technician 2 or 3 to work on-site at Schriever SFB, near Colorado Springs, CO for our Front Range Operations and Sustainment Team (FROST) program. FROST conducts real time on-orbit support, launch ascent support and End-of-Life operations for all NOPS (NRO Operations Squadron) missions. This position will be based in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Schriever AFB
.
- Test and perform on-console activities involving satellite operations during launch and early orbit support or long-term operations.
- Plan, set up, and configure ground communication support, develop, validate, and execute pass plan; monitor, and review telemetry, advise leads and/or management of failures and degradation, and advise leads or management of predefined recovery procedures.
- Establish voice, messaging, and data communications for multiple-satellite programs of varying priorities and classifications.
- Configurations and monitoring of displays for computer and network equipment during normal mission operations.
- Troubleshoot end-to-end communication issues.
- Multi-program coordination and scheduling using COTS software tools.
- Determination of any anomalous conditions and providing corrective actions as required.
- Generation of downtime reports and other associated documentation for operational outages.
- Support to various operations status, engineering review, and problem boards.
- Identification of areas of concern, issues, inefficiencies, and other non-value-added activities, as well as proven recommended solutions.
- Level 2:
High School diploma or equivalent; with 2 years of experience or an Associate’s degree or higher - Level 3:
High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years’ experience; or an Associate’s degree with 2 years’ experience; or a completed Bachelor’s degree - TS/SCI CI Polygraph
