INNOVIM is seeking Senior Windows System Administrator to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

The candidate will:

  • Build, configure, maintain and troubleshoot virtual and physical servers/systems.
  • Evaluate and execute developer-provided documentation and software within required installation deadlines.
  • Make recommendations regarding best practices for system administration and maintenance requirements.
  • Ensure team members are performing system changes in accordance with developer documentation, configuration management and documentation practices.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Install, configure, and manage Active Directory environment including configuration and implementation of GPOs.
  • Assist system integrators in problem definition, analysis, and solution implementation as needed.
  • Advise team members and leadership and make appropriate technical recommendations regarding system development issues and improvements, optimization tools and methods, process creation and development, and support efforts.
  • Track and report installation progress to appropriate managers on a daily basis.
  • Perform necessary physical inspections and research using system and event logs, appropriate tools/software, and other available methods to identify problems, trends and aid in troubleshooting actions.
  • Assist in the development and presentation of readiness and status briefs to internal/external teams, stakeholders and senior government officials.
  • Use REMEDY ticketing system to report, track and document issues and resolution of maintenance actions on faulty systems.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience. May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 6, or more, years of direct experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and applications such as Windows Server 2022 and Windows 10/11.
  • Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
  • Must have strong knowledge of Active Directory Users and Computers, Sites and Services, DNS, Group Policy, TCP/IP networking and LDAP.
  • Must have experience building, configuring and deploying servers/systems in a virtualized environment
  • Experience with patch and software management
  • Must be able to interface with software engineers, systems engineers, developers, and subject matter experts to solve complex integration and technical problems
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization with internal and external customers.
  • Must have a current DoD approved 8570 Level II certification such as Security+ CE.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • Have a strong understanding of troubleshooting practices and root cause analysis
  • Have experience with Multi Factor Authentication methodology
  • Have experience with HP hardware
  • Have experience with Net App NAS storage
  • Have experience building, configuring and deploying servers/systems using VMware
  • Have a working knowledge of Power Shell scripting
  • Have ability, knowledge, and experience in Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Have knowledge of Missile Defense, DoD communications systems and MDIOC operations
  • Have a Degree in an IT or Engineering related discipline

This position is expected to pay $125,000 – $140,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
