Design, implement, troubleshoot, and sustain Linux-based physical and virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center. Administer container platforms such as Open Shift, Docker, and Podman; maintain multiple repositories/registries. Oversee hardening of operating systems and STIG compliance. Collaborate with cybersecurity, Dev Sec Ops , infrastructure, and application teams to ensure system administration and compliance practices are maintained. Manage/delegate tasks from project, sustainment, and break/fix sources.
Mentor a team responsible for system software installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cybersecurity mitigations per policies and SLAs. Develop and maintain system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation. Focus on creating, upgrading, managing, and sustaining physical and virtual workstations. Other duties as assigned.

- Support physical and virtual workstations.
- Education/Training: Bachelor s Degree in an IT or STEM field.
- Must have, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a computing environment Linux certification.
- Must have, or obtain within 60 days of hire, a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+).
- Experience: 5+ years of directly related UNIX/Linux systems administration; experience administering a Red Hat Linux environment.
- U.S. citizenship and DoD Secret clearance.
- Must be a US citizen
- Minimum DoD Secret Clearance required
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms.
- Prolonged periods of computer use while seated or standing at a desk.
- Adhere to safety protocols requiring PPE where applicable.
- Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

$130,000 - $170,000. Salary rates are competitive and commensurate with experience. Benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
