Raytheon’s Software Configuration Management (SWCM) department establishes and maintains integrity for all digital products throughout the entire life cycle. The department provides innovative solutions through automation, continuous improvement, and a skilled workforce supporting embedded software, firmware/configurable logic, test equipment, simulation, commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS), and tools.
SWCM department is hiring a Software Configuration Management Engineer I to work as a Software Transfer Agent onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong working relationships across all teams.
- Automate and streamline transfer procedures and processes.
- Create customized/tailored configurations, workflows, automations, reports, and integrations that meet specific program, customer, and/or site requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues, escalations, and action items.
- Maintain familiarity with program schedule, identify risks, and align work to promote reuse and efficiency.
- Support internal and external customers in a technical capacity throughout the program lifecycle.
- Ensure site baseline and post‑deploy verifications.
- Perform and lead coordination of data transfers, courier support among various environments.
- Work onsite at the Schriever Space Force Base.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and less than 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Experience debugging/troubleshooting connectivity issues in complex systems.
- Automation experience with shell scripting in Linux, Unix, and Windows.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
- Strong background in task automation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with scripting programming languages (e.g., Perl, shell, PHP, C#, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML).
- Work effectively with stakeholders from cross‑discipline organizations.
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite, Cloud Bees Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Chef, Rundeck.
