Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Trauma and Acute Care Surgery

We are a collaborative team that includes surgeons and APPs, committed to providing the best surgical care in the region. This is a full-time position that supports a work-life balance, with 24/7 service needs including nights, holidays, and weekend shift coverage. No call is required. Epic EMR is utilized system-wide.
Responsibilities- Provide patient care as part of the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team in a full-time capacity.
- Collaborate with a large multidisciplinary team including surgeons and APPs to deliver high-quality surgical care.
- Support a 24/7 service model with night, holiday, and weekend shift requirements.
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care management.
Requirements for Physician Assistants
- Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado
- Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the NCCPA
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications commonly prescribed in practice
- Eligible to provide Medicare/Medicaid services and maintain provider status
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate privileges
- Prescriptive authority as appropriate per medical staff privileging
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
- Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility; must apply for prescriptive authority as a condition of employment
- Master’s degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANPCB) for hire and ongoing employment
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license or compact privileges
- Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate privileges
- Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications
- Eligible to provide Medicare/Medicaid services and maintain provider status
- Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Competitive compensation: pay range for this full-time position is $124,384 - $163,072 annually, dependent on experience
- Annual Quality Value Incentive Plan (QVIP) of up to $10,000
- Relocation bonus of up to $10,000, if eligible
- Paid malpractice insurance
- CME allowance up to $3,500 and up to 5 days annually
