Job SummaryThe Floating Personal Care Worker (PCW) is a temporary caregiver assigned to support clients at their home while a permanent caregiver is being hired or scheduled. Floating PCWs may provide care for multiple clients based on staffing needs and schedule availability. They help ensure continuity of services by aligning client expectations with Envida’s standards of care, professionalism, and quality. Floating PCWs must maintain consistent communication with supervisors and adhere to all regulatory and agency requirements while delivering person-centered support.

- Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
- Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Document client care activities as required
- Report any changes in client condition to supervisor
- Follow care plans and agency procedures
- Experience in personal care or homecare (preferred but not required)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 25–50 pounds
- Must pass general training, skills test, or competency evaluation
- CPR certification (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Work settings include client homes and care facilities
- Exposure to household cleaning agents and potential infectious diseases
- Travel within service area required
