Job Description

Assists in the direct care and management of children, adolescents, and adults, as determined by the Treatment Plan, Program Structure, and presenting issues/behaviors of the patients/residents/students.

Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit unpredictable and impulsive behavior to include potential physical aggression. Provides continual supervision, safety, crisis management, and therapeutic interventions. Assists with implementing the program structure and the safe delivery of care to promote wellness of the individual patient/resident/student. Various schedules available some of which provide competitive shift differentials. MHS position schedule can be changed to meet hospital needs.

COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate

In accordance with Colorado state public health order, all healthcare workers must be vaccinated, and the Company must verify vaccine status. Pursuant to this public health order, the following modes constitute as proof of vaccination:

  • an electronic entry in the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS); OR
  • an immunization record from a licensed healthcare provider who has administered a COVID‑19 vaccine to an individual who provides services for the facility or agency, specifying the vaccine administered, name and title of the person who administered the vaccine, address of the location where the vaccine was administered, and the date it was administered. A
  • COVID‑19 Vaccination Record Card (issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control & Prevention or WHO Yellow Card) which includes name of person vaccinated, type of vaccine provided, and date last dose administered would suffice.

Exemptions:
Workers may be exempt from the vaccination requirements by providing a signed exemption form indicating one of the following:
Religious Beliefs or Qualifying Medical Reason. To be eligible for a Religious Beliefs exemption, the worker must provide a written statement describing the worker’s sincerely held religious beliefs and how those beliefs conflict with Colorado’s August 21, 2021 Public Health Order requiring certain healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19. To be eligible for a Qualified Medical Reason exemption, the worker must provide a written statement signed by a physician, physician assistant, advanced practice nurse, or certified nurse midwife licensed in the State of Colorado stating that the COVID‑19 vaccination for the employee, direct contractor, or support staff is medically contraindicated as described in the product labeling or authorized by the FDA.

A record of signed exemption forms and statements submitted in support of the exemption request must be maintained in a confidential HR Medical file, separate from the Personnel File.
