In this position, the primary responsibility is to lead the team that delivers person centered care and services to those we support in a residential setting to fulfill our purpose for existing “We believe the world shines brighter when people with developmental disabilities achieve their full potential”.

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Five to Seven years of previous experience in a work position, volunteer/community role, or educational setting that focuses on serving and helping others.
  • Five plus years of leadership experience in a related field leading a dispersed team over a broad geography and proven success with market growth.
  • Ability to be flexible on hours and residential settings in your local community to assist colleagues and those we serve.

Responsibilities
  • As a leader of teams and individuals who lead others, ensures a culture that aligns the passion and talents of others to serve the people we support by actively developing others, empowering teams, promoting collaboration, removing barriers, achieving results, showing recognition and appreciation to attract and retain diverse talent. Creates an environment where everyone can thrive.
  • In partnership with operational leaders, human resource, quality, and nursing: welcomes, onboards, and trains and mentor’snew leaders joining on the team and identify additional training and development needs for programs and leaders’ team as part of Quarterly Connections.
  • Maintains a focus on metrics and budget to positively support area and state business results.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership behaviors leading the way through individual behavior.
  • Be the resource for any colleague, person we support, or parent & guardian in the home if local leadership efforts to resolve a topic are not successful. Bring recommendations forward related to quality and process improvements for our employees and those we serve to enhance standard operating procedures.
  • Seeks data from internal and external resources,participates in local community organizations, professional groups,andindustry memberships to ensurethe delivery ofperson-centered care and services to thosewe are blessed toserve.
  • Collaborates withthe person we support, parents& guardians, external clinicalor local/state representative &providers, internal partners in nursing and quality, and operational leadership.
  • Leverage our health information technology, human resource technology, and financial technology fully andensurestimely, comprehensive, and objective documentation.
  • Complete all individual training and development required by local, state, federal and Able Light policies and procedures.
  • Ensures all related state and local regulations and expectations are implemented consistently across the homes in their area of accountability
