Director - UCCS Aging Center

University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a Director of the UCCS Aging Center to oversee all clinic activities and provide clinical services, training, and supervision. The Aging Center is a community‑based mental health clinic for older adults and a university psychology training clinic.

Salary / Pay Range

$80,033 – $110,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary

In affiliation with the UCCS Psychology Department, the UCCS Aging Center requires a full‑time Director to oversee operations, provide clinical services, train staff, and collaborate with faculty on training models.

Essential Functions Administrative
  • Day‑to‑day operations of the Aging Center.
  • Develop and revise policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare, oversee, and administer the annual operating budget.
  • Manage expenses and equipment procurement.
  • Monitor billing, income, and external funding.
  • Address emergencies and legal matters.
  • Provide resources and space for clinical activities.
  • Write reports as needed.
  • Attend monthly meetings with Lane Center Directors and clinical supervisors.
  • Oversee completion of funded programs as Principal Investigator.
Academic
  • Collaborate with clinical faculty to meet academic and research objectives.
  • Coordinate research activities within the Aging Center.
  • Recruit, interview, and select students for practicum placement.
  • Provide graduate‑level clinical supervision.
  • Support interprofessional collaboration.
Clinical Services and Training
  • Ensure quality of clinical services.
  • Establish and maintain standards for training and practice.
  • Coordinate referrals to students, staff, and contractors.
  • Provide Medicare services.
  • Plan and provide clinical training during orientation and monthly didactics.
  • Support community outreach and student presentations.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology or related field (e.g., neuropsychology, geropsychology, counseling psychology).
  • Experience working with older adults, Medicare provider or Medicare‑eligible provider is required.
  • Licensed as a psychologist in Colorado, or license eligible.
  • Postdoctoral fellowship training in clinical Geropsychology is a plus.
  • Experience supervising graduate‑level psychology students in geropsychology.
