CNA
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living
Follow the resident care schedule set out by the supervisor
Provide emotional and social support to residents
Support dining staff and assist in the dining room as needed
Assist with laundry needs of the community or residents
Document daily logs of assistance provided
Inform the supervisor of any resident issues or concerns
Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents
Maintain residents' confidentiality
Stay familiar with emergency equipment and procedures
Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings
Maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention and equipment preservation
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers
Adhere to all community policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
CNA Qualifications/Skills/
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or CHHA licensure
CPR certification
Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as Colorado CAPS background check
COVID vaccine required or valid exemption
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs regularly and physically assist residents as needed
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding)
Experience with residents with memory impairment may be required if assigned to memory care areas
