Duties
* Designs, implements, and oversees the position management and position classification program.
* Provides position organizational design and classification services to the USSPACECOM organizations.
* Conducts, leads, and/or participates in special projects and initiatives to improve HRM program(s) and influence USSPACECOM policy.
* Prepares and delivers written reports and oral presentations, e.g., briefings, training sessions, consultations, orientations, and discussions for USSPACECOM leadership, supervisors, customers, and co-workers. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

* Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
* This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, (cont) * (cont) national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
* Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
* Employee needs to obtain and maintain approval to access the portfolio of Special Access Programs required to perform daily duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
* May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
* The employee may be required to work irregular duty hours including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
* Locally funded, PCS is authorized Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, 0201 Series. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband (NH-2), grade level (GS-11), or equivalent pay system in Federal service. Specialized experience must include knowledge of the full range of federal classification and personnel management laws, executive orders, policies, directives, instructions, and concepts, and the interrelationship of the various civilian personnel disciplines. Knowledge of organizational structures, missions, objectives, operating program, policies, and procedures.
Skill in conducting reviews and evaluating HR program operations to include identifying deficiencies; measuring compliance, consistency, and effectiveness; and making recommendations for enhancement or improvement. Ability to perform in-depth research, gather facts, and use extensive and effective analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and make sound decisions involving complex position management issues.
