Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is looking for a talented Principal Acquisition Analyst to join our team. In this role you will become a member of the support staff with a primary work assignment supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2

BMC) program in Colorado Springs, CO. This position requires a seasoned professional with a detailed understanding of DoD acquisition processes to include cost, schedule, and performance of contracts.

• Working knowledge of applicable DoD acquisition directives to support the development of Missile Defense System (MDS) acquisition policy, plans, processes, procedures, and guidance for MDS development and fielding.
• Develop Acquisition Plans, Justifications and Approvals, Request for Proposal packages, Statements of Work, and Contract Data Requirement Lists.
• Interpret MDA acquisition guidance to support acquisition planning and MDS program integration.
• Expertise in strategic planning, acquisition strategy development, and development of key acquisition documentation to support acquisition strategy approval and execution.
• Prepare planning documents to coordinate integrated acquisition strategies within the MDS and OGA partners.
• Support and interact with high-level DoD officials (O‑6 and above, GS‑15/NH‑4 equivalent), sitting on-site with the DoD Program Office and deliver products successfully in a fast-paced environment.
• Develop reports, decision papers, and briefings for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s Degree and 20+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree and 12+ years of experience.
• Secret clearance.
• Possess knowledge of acquisition processes/activities required to support the evaluation of contract performance against the program baselines.
• Experience translating technical requirements into contract requirements.
• Capable of working independently or leading cross‑functional teams to research, track, and complete ad hoc tasks associated with the PWS.
• Experience in cost, schedule, and performance management for a space-based program and/or a DoD program.

• MDA experience.
