Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Patriot, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Platform Infrastructure Engineer to deploy and maintain platforms across multiple applications. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, overseeing technical architecture, and delivering scalable, reliable solutions.

• Monitor and optimize system performance and implement corrective actions on current platform(s).
• Manage and maintain application integration leveraging networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
• Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures.
• Create automation scripts and tools to streamline platform deployments, provisioning, and management.
• Deploy and manage machines with VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS‑CAT.
• Configure host‑based security systems.
• Apply Dev Ops methodologies and tools, supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers.
• Utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM Net Cool, and Solar Winds.
• Patch and manage systems using Red Hat Satellite Server.
• Provide hardware support for servers and workstations.
• Basic experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is a bonus.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• At least 12 years of experience in related fields, including:
  • At least 4 years of hands‑on experience with Open Shift.
• Active Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship.
• On‑site position at a government facility requiring presence five days per week in Annapolis Junction, MD.
• Residency within commutable distance.
• Participation in a rotational on‑call schedule for emergency page‑outs.
• Team player, fast learner, proactive and able to work independently for mission‑critical operations across geographically diverse locations.

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Open Shift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA).
