DutiesInclude
- Providing systems engineering and integration technical support for satellite communications network systems including Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C), scheduling, communications, and associated systems.
- Perform engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
- Perform engineering analyses to predict and define problems, define/design actionable corrective measures, and operational implementation of SCN systems.
- Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
- Prepare and review test plans and test reports, analytical evaluation of systems’ compatibility, and development of requirements.
- Participate in technical meetings and government-led studies, assess technical baselines, and ensure system modifications meet requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Technical skills to understand and analyze system problems, define potential solutions, and conduct in-depth technical analysis, assessments and trades and explain results of technical studies in a systems engineering context.
- Experience with:
- Requirements traceability
- Architecture development
- System-of-systems integration & testing
- Technical document development
- Demonstrated understanding of performance and requirements analysis techniques, and acceptance testing strategies/methodologies.
- Demonstrated understanding of Electromagnetic (EM) or Radio Frequency (RF) concepts, antennas, signal processing, or software engineering.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience with engineering tools such as MATLAB and Python or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
- Working knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN) or similar DoD program.
- Current Secret or higher clearance.
