Entry-Level Systems Engineer

BMC system architecture
* Develop and maintain requirements and architecture artifacts (including interface definitions) to support missile defense capabilities
* Support architecture and requirements trade studies to recommend options that improve mission performance, cost/schedule, and technical feasibility
* Support improving the requirements management engine: planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring of requirements processes and tools (including traceability, change control, and quality)
* Support program-level risks/issues/opportunities tracking and technology readiness assessments as they relate to architecture and requirements decisions
* Collaborate frequently with MDA, warfighters, and industry partners to align requirements, interfaces, and system priorities
* Support integration and checkout work – define tasks, schedule them, assign work, monitor completion, and keep the integration plan moving
* Support the evaluation of results from integration/checkout activities and determine whether they meet checkout requirements so the team can proceed to the next stage
* Help define and drive the overall integration and test (I&T) strategy (processes, tools, and metrics) to ensure we verify requirements effectively and consistently
* Support executing and documenting integration and test events, including capturing results, issues, and evidence needed for verification
* Partner with integration/test SMEs to solve complex system problems spanning process, tools, regulations, and system-specific issues
* Help identify and implement tool/process improvements that reduce friction and increase throughput (automation, reporting, repeatable workflows)
* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
* Related engineering experience through internships, co-ops, or academic projects
* Experience or interest in missile defense systems
* Familiarity with systems engineering concepts such as system architecture, requirements, and interfaces
* Familiarity with integration, verification and validation processes
* Familiarity with modeling and simulation
* Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
* Technical skills with tools and languages such as DOORS, Cameo, SysML, Python, MATLAB, Java, or similar
