Job Description

Responsible for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for a range of software and hardware development, assembly, and integration and test efforts.

Essential Functions
  • Responsibly lead a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.
  • Develop, oversee, and coordinate the cost/schedule/technical aspects of an ongoing engineering project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
  • Review status of engineering projects and budgets, manage schedules, drive execution, identify opportunities, and deliver results through achieving payment milestones.
  • Assess engineering issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer‑satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Identify, track, mitigate, manage, and dispose of program‑level risks and opportunities.
  • Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
  • Coordinate between resource managers/supervisors and ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
  • Understand how to develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV) and manage a project using EV indicators on a DCMA‑surveilled program.
  • Participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks to drive execution (e.g., value stream mapping activities).
  • Must have ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick‑reaction projects and will have regular contact with customers.
  • Experience in the following engineering/technical areas:
    Missile Warning, Software Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required;
    Top Secret clearance preferred.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience;
    Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with program baselining, planning, I  process experience, Missile Warning/Space Operations experience.
  • Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution.
  • Experience managing multi‑discipline programs across multiple locations.
  • Experience in software development and integration programs.
  • Experience managing projects with total budgets of $70M+.
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Experience as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) and driving labor resources in a matrix organization.
  • Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Scrum Master.
  • Experience in satellite payload and space vehicle development.
  • Experience or knowledge of Government contract acquisition lifecycle.
  • Experience with management of design-to-cost activities.
  • Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities.
  • Experience with operations and/or manufacturing activities.
  • Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques.
Benefits and Compensation

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $108,500 – $201,500. This range is not a guarantee of compensation; final offers may vary based on experience and geographic location. L3
