We are looking for a hard-working Substation Helper to join the Xcel Energy team in Matheson, Colorado.

In this position, you will be required to complete a structured training program, and perform all aspects of Substation construction, operation and maintenance. The applicant must be committed to working safely, be self-motivated, work well with others and respond to after-hour callouts and weekend callout. Overnight travel will also be part of the assignment.

• Complete a structured training program.
• Perform all aspects of Substation construction, operation and maintenance.
• Respond to after-hour callouts and weekend callouts.
• Overnight travel may be required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Be respirator qualified and pass confined space training.
• Physically capable of performing the requirements of the classification (working at height, working in confined spaces, lifting, digging, etc.).
• Possess good mathematical, verbal, mechanical and written skills.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds and work in all weather conditions.
• Must have passed or successfully pass the EEI Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) selection test.
• Selection criteria may include testing and/or assessment.
• Must be willing to live within 40 minutes or 40 miles of the Matheson Service Center.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $33.85 per hour. This position is eligible for the following benefits:
