Grand Peak Academy is seeking a long-term Middle School Math teacher for the remainder of the school year! This teacher will join a committed team of educators to strengthen the foundation of an extraordinary school. In their daily practice, GPA teachers will develop and implement a curriculum that meets all students' needs, cultivate a culture that encourages young learners and leaders, and leverage data and evidence-based teaching practices.
EssentialFunctions
- Provide an inviting, exciting, inclusive, and joyful classical learning environment;
- Participate wholeheartedly in professional development and enrich expertise in the subject area;
- Develop curriculum and lesson plans that are rigorous, clear, measurable, and aligned with Colorado Standards and GPA's instructional approaches;
- Embrace school initiatives and curriculum in planning for and teaching a diverse classroom of students with a wide variety of learning styles, needs and behaviors;
- Follow the school's policies and procedures for student conduct, discipline, and social- emotional development;
- Form meaningful relationships with families and involve parents in their children's education.
- Demonstrated success in teaching
- Must have a Colorado State license or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a passing score on the Praxis or PLACE exam in your area of concentration (Elementary Education, Music, Technology, Physical Education, Math, etc)
- Successfully complete a background check
We offer a competitive compensation package which includes comprehensive health benefits, some of which are employer paid and employees have the opportunity to select different plans. Paid vacation as well as sick time.
Hourly Long-Term Sub Pay Range: $20.00-$30.00
This position will be for the school year.
