About the TeamACCEL Schools is seeking a part‑time Lunch Aide at Banning Lewis Ranch Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. The Role will help with the transition of students to/from the lunchroom. They will also assist students with the orderly procurement of their lunches. The Aide will help supervise students while eating to assure that they are orderly, safe, and mannerly during lunchtime which may include both indoor and outdoor supervision.
The Aide will work with students to learn appropriate lunchroom etiquette, good manners, cleaning up after themselves, and encouraging appropriate, positive intermingling of students.
Banning Lewis Academy is a tuition‑free public charter school authorized by District 49, proudly serving the Banning Lewis Ranch community and surrounding neighborhoods in Colorado Springs since 2006. - Monitor and assist students at lunch and recess.
- Assist younger children in receiving lunch trays, milk, and condiments.
- Monitor student behavior and provide appropriate discipline as necessary within guidelines of school rules.
- Assist students in cleaning up after themselves (spills, wiping tables, disposing of trash, etc.).
- Help wash tables, pick up floor trash and ready condiments between lunch sessions and after lunch period.
- Monitor students for safety and appropriate behavior on the playground.
- Help maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom and other school areas.
- Understand, accept, abide by, and implement the school’s philosophy and mission statement in all school activities.
- Work cooperatively with lunch and recess employees.
- Act in accordance with directives from the Administrator (or designee).

- Other duties as assigned.
- Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
- Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
- Ability to work well under pressure, effectively prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines consistently.
- Understanding and ability to manage confidential information.
- High‑quality written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
- Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.
Salary will begin at $16.50 per hour and is commensurate with experience. Factors which may affect starting pay may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Benefits for part‑time, subject to applicable eligibility requirements include:

Part‑time hourly employees accrue 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
