Role Details
The Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing teaches deaf and hard‑of‑hearing pupils in a classroom setting. Instructs in academic subjects of the regular curriculum or an adapted curriculum to meet the needs of the student population.
Contract DetailsThese contracts are near Colorado Springs, CO and will last the 25/26 school year. The contract pays $51/hour (local) and $2,205/week (travelers) including stipends for 37.5 student contact hours per week with a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations
- Knowledge of sign language and use of amplification devices for the deaf and hard‑of‑hearing
- Experience with deaf and hard‑of‑hearing students (preferred)
- ASL proficiency exam or certification may be required per state, contract or district
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X‑ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
