Lecturer - Anthropology; Pool

Overview

Lecturer - Anthropology Pool at the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). This is a temporary, non-tenure track, part-time lecturer pool for Anthropology. Appointments are made semester-by-semester from a pool of qualified applicants and may be in person, online, or hybrid depending on need.

• Teach various Anthropology courses; exact courses taught depend on department need at the time of hire. Courses may be offered in-person or online.

• Master’s degree in the field OR significant experience in the field that is documented in a Letter of Expertise submitted to HR in lieu of transcripts. The Letter of Expertise is written by the chair of the department in which the individual will lecture.

Salary: $1,045 per credit hour. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Because this appointment is temporary, eligibility for standard faculty benefits (paid vacation, medical, retirement) may be limited; sick leave accrues at 0.034 hours per hour worked.

Determined by course modality: on-campus, online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.
