Assistant Teaching Professor in Mathematics

Salary/Pay Range$50,000 annually
; compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime provisions.

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a full‑time Assistant Teaching Professor starting August 2026. Duties include teaching twenty‑four semester credit hours per academic year and service in support of departmental goals in undergraduate education. The position requires teaching a minimum of 12 credit hours (two sections) per year of MATH 1030, College Algebra with Supplemental Instruction.
Essential Functions- Classroom teaching, including at least two sections per year of MATH 1030.
- Mentoring and academic advising of students.
- Serving on committees.
- Participating in department meetings.
- A master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field is required. The degree must be awarded by the start of the appointment.
- Experience teaching developmental courses is preferred.
