SpEd Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides consultation or direct service in the areas of social, emotional, and behavioral functioning to meet the individual needs of students in order to improve both academic achievement and social competence.

The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and other key duties that may be required. * Reports consistently for work as scheduled
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
* Assists teams in conducting functional behavioral assessments for individual students in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations; monitors and tracks progress to ensure positive outcomes for students
* Follows and records data for behavioral training protocols, collects, records, and summarizes data on observable student behavior
* Communicates effectively with school staff regarding progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
* Assists in providing professional development/training to all district staff
* Creates and assists district staff with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans and other appropriate programs for students who present behavior/learning challenges; serves as a resource for information regarding behavior strategies and techniques
* Designs, develops, and implements behavioral supports and services rooted in ABA methodology for district staff and students
* Assists in developing materials and providing resources for district staff using evidence-based methodologies, such as Applied Behavior Analysis, related to addressing the needs of students
* Provides support in classrooms modeling behavioral supports and interventions to school staff and students under the direction of the BCBA
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*** Experience working with children with disabilities PK-21 preferred
* Knowledge of special education, other educational programming and associated legal requirements as related to the needs of the students
* Working knowledge of behavior theory and child development
* Experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
* Strong communication skills
* Excellent collaborative and problem-solving skills
* Student centered and relationship focused
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions
