The Department of Economics and Business at Colorado College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics and Business with specialization in macroeconomics, to begin Fall 2026. The department offers four undergraduate degrees including Economics;
International Political Economy;
Mathematical Economics; and Business, Economics, and Society. We engage students with immersive pedagogy via field trips, community-engaged work, and intensive group projects.
- Teach five courses annually, with advising of students’ senior theses (counts as a sixth course).
- Maintain an active research program and engage in college service.
- A PhD in Economics or related fields (ABD candidates will also be considered).
- Excellent teaching promise.
- Ability to teach international finance, money and banking, principles of macroeconomics, and intermediate macroeconomic theory.
- An active research agenda aiming for peer-reviewed publications commensurate with selective liberal arts institutions.
- Interest in contributing to the College’s General Education program.
