SalaryRange: $82,000 to $85,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

SummaryThis is a full‑time, 9‑month, on‑campus, tenure‑track appointment at the Assistant Professor level with a 40% teaching, 40% research and 20% service work distribution in the Department of Nursing. The position is expected to teach 15 credit hours per academic year and may include responsibilities in the undergraduate or graduate programs; advise students; develop a successful line of research and scholarly record;
conduct online teaching; and seek external funding that strengthens/broadens current areas of research. Faculty also participate in both internal and external professional service activities and demonstrate collaborative interests and collegiality in all aspects of faculty engagement. The position includes classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical teaching.
Teaching and Curriculum Development (40%)
- Provide instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in classroom, simulation learning center, online, and clinical settings.
- Select and schedule student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
- Plan, develop, and implement evaluation tools to assess student progress.
- Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Maintain clinical and academic expertise.
Research and Scholarship (40%)
- Engage in an active program of research/scholarship individually and in collaborative partnerships.
- Evidence of research productivity, including publications, presentations, and internal or external grant funding.
Service (20%)
- Engage in various service activities within the department, college, UCCS, the profession of nursing, and the community.
- Mentor and advise students.
- Participate in meetings and other activities that advance the mission and goals of the department, college, university, and profession.
Other duties as determined by the Dean and Department Chair.
