Expanded Duties Dental Assistant

We are looking for an EDDA/EFDA to join our team at Tuttle Family Dentistry

MUST HAVE EDDA CERTIFIFCATION OR AT LEAST 1 YEAR OF EDDA EXPERIENCE

Schedule: Monday 8-5, Tuesday and Wednesday 8-3, Thursday 8-5

• Preparing operatories for treatment
• Sterilizing instruments
• Directly assist dentist during procedures using four handed dentistry technique
• Take x-rays and intraoral photos
• Accurately and efficiently treatment plan based on doctor’s diagnosis
• Providing patient education and post-operative instruction
• Perform lab duties such as pouring models, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns
• Stock supplies and maintain equipment
• Accurately document and maintain Patient Health Information
• Place temporary and permanent restorations in teeth and shape to proper contour
• Removes sutures and places rubber dams as directed by dentist
• Place Sealants
• Fluoride Application
• Coronal Polishing
• Take final impressions
• Monitor nitrous oxide

• CPR/BLS certification required
• EDDA Certification or 1 year of EDDA Experience
• Radiology Certification required
• Comfortable working alone on filling anterior teeth, 2- 3 surface filling, seating crowns, making temp crowns
• Experience working with Clear Aligners such as Invisalign is a plus
