Job OverviewWe are hiring an HVAC Residential Estimator with strong experience in new construction. This position is focused on estimating residential new construction projects, including multi-unit jobs and homes with multiple floor plans/elevations. The right candidate must be able to review plans, perform takeoffs, and produce accurate, timely bids while managing a high volume of estimates.
Responsibilities- Prepare accurate estimates and bids for residential new construction HVAC projects
- Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and builder documents
- Perform takeoffs for equipment, ductwork, materials, and accessories
- Estimate projects with multiple units, floor plans, and elevations
- Identify differences in layouts/elevations and apply correct pricing and scope
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for equipment pricing, material costs, and availability
- Work with operations/project teams to confirm scope, exclusions, and installation requirements
- Track submitted bids and maintain organized estimating records
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple estimates at one time
- HVAC estimating experience (residential new construction preferred)
- Strong ability to read and interpret residential plans and mechanical layouts
- Experience estimating multi-unit projects and multiple elevations/floor plans
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working in estimating spreadsheets/software
- High attention to detail and strong math skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high bid volume
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Field HVAC installation experience
- Experience with tract/semi-custom residential builders
- Knowledge of local HVAC code requirements and standard builder plan sets
$63,646.64 - $76,649.71 per year (Competitive pay based on experience)
