Overview

Samtec is seeking an Office Administrator/Facilities Coordinator for our Colorado Springs, CO facility. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Pay is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience. Functions / Responsibilities
  • Be the face for Samtec and ensure a good first impression with customers, visitors, and associates.
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with the company.
  • Autonomously plan and schedule own daily tasks, developing solutions to problems using education, experience, and judgment.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for Facility & Services in a specific location.
  • General reception during customer visits.
  • Act as the main point of contact to support meetings and events (including meeting room preparation, catering, and special events) for customers, partners, staff, or new hires.
  • Daily stocking/restocking and ordering of supplies for break rooms, office areas, and conference rooms.
  • Ensure common office areas are tidy and meeting rooms are well equipped.
  • Plan and execute events, including creating emails/flyers and posting them onsite.
  • Decorate facility and breakroom areas for holidays and other occasions.
  • Assist HR, Plant Manager, and Payroll with administrative tasks as required.
  • Own portions of the associate onboarding process, including pictures, badging, access, and scheduling.
  • Credit card reconciliation.
  • Birthday/anniversary cards as part of employee recognition.
Demonstrate Ownership Of This Role
  • Schedule front desk coverage during absences or vacancies.
  • Manage vendor contracts and pricing.
  • Anticipate the needs of facility, HR, Plant Manager, or facility operations and proactively address them.
  • Partner with facilities department to maintain cleanliness and décor, including setup for holidays and events.
Required Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as an Office Administrator/Coordinator or in a relevant role.
  • Strong customer service, communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with impeccable organization/time management and attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proven track record of trust.
Preferred Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College work in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
