Tax Manager

Premier Financial Search is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a reputable firm located in Colorado Springs, CO. This leadership role is ideal for a technically strong CPA who enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to clients while mentoring staff and overseeing complex tax engagements.

Clients include both individuals and businesses, with engagements spanning individual and business tax returns, consolidated returns, and trusts. The firm serves a diverse client base across construction, healthcare, technology, real estate, manufacturing, retail, professional services, and select nonprofit organizations.

This is a predominantly in-office environment. A minimum of three days per week in the office is required, though most Managers are onsite four days per week or full-time.

• Manage and review individual, corporate, partnership, consolidated, and trust tax returns
• Oversee engagement teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely completion of deliverables
• Perform detailed technical reviews of tax returns and related work papers
• Develop and manage engagement budgets; monitor realization and billing
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors
• Manage multiple client relationships and special projects simultaneously
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts
• Identify cross-service opportunities and support firm growth initiatives
• Meet charge hour goals and performance expectations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Active CPA license required
• 6+ years of public accounting experience
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong technical expertise in individual, business, consolidated, and trust taxation
• Proven ability to manage engagements from planning through completion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills
• Proficiency in relevant tax and accounting software

• Base salary range: $100,000 – $130,000, depending on experience
• Discretionary bonus
• Predominantly in-office culture
• Minimum of 3 days per week in-office (most Managers are onsite 4+ days per week)
• Office located in Colorado Springs, CO
