Senior Accountant

Overview

Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant to support a newly acquired business unit that will support financial operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP standards, and strategic support for leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise, particularly in nonprofit fund accounting, with a passion for process improvement and analysis.

• Lead accounting operations sales and operations
• Manage reconciliations, intercompany consolidations, and currency adjustments
• Oversee donor fund accounting and related financial reporting
• Deliver timely financial statements, dashboards, forecasts, and budgeting insights
• Collaborate cross-functionally and with external auditors for transparency and compliance
• Recommend and implement process enhancements and financial modeling improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strongly preferred:
  Experience in nonprofit fund accounting
• Background in public accounting audit is a plus
• Expertise in Excel and ERP systems
• Solid understanding of GAAP and reconciliation practices
• High attention to detail, strong judgment, and collaborative mindset
