Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member:
    Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and is flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
  • Be an Expert:
    Demonstrates knowledge of on-floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products to established standards; maintains product quality standards.
  • Be a Techie:
    Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage associates; uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
  • Be an Owner:
    Maintains operational excellence by keeping the work area clean and organized; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per policies.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador:
    Acts as an advocate for the department and club by valuing the member's experience and modeling high-quality service and products; executes basics at the highest level of quality; demonstrates energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by applying related action plans and the Open Door Policy in daily work.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress and information; seeks opportunities for improvement and learns from change and feedback.
