Job Description

Assist Engineers in designing and validating products by conducting tests in the Engineering Test Lab. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

* Set up, test, and troubleshoot refrigerated display cases in collaboration with Test Engineers.

* Understand and apply basic wiring practices, piping, brazing, and fabrication to support the setup of display cases and test fixtures.

* Document and communicate test results effectively.

Essential Skills

* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical areas.

* Good communication and documentation abilities.

* Capability to obtain EPA Universal certification for working with refrigerants.

* Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Experience in commercial refrigeration and supermarket operations.

* Knowledge and hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment, including pressure transducers, data acquisition software, and temperature probes.

* Thorough understanding of refrigerated display cases, electrical systems, and refrigeration controls.

Work Environment

The test lab consists of around 20 people and is part of a manufacturing site that includes two plants with approximately 1,000 employees. The company is projecting significant growth this year, offering a great opportunity to work on true engineering products and projects, with room for career advancement.

This is a Permanent position based out of Colonial Heights, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
