Summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a self‑motivated Operations Supervisor with a high regard for safety and integrity. The supervisor will oversee personnel performing all operations and maintenance activities, further strengthen our safety culture, adhere to Partnership policies and operate within the annual budget. The position covers the Bonne Terre, 12 Mile and Poplar Bluff Stations and has a current pay range of $120,000 – $140,000.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Supervise facility personnel to ensure safe and efficient job execution.
  • Administer performance reviews, provide disciplinary action when warranted.
  • Attend and facilitate safety meetings and develop a strong safety culture.
  • Supervise facility operations, technical and maintenance activities through location personnel.
  • Provide guidance to resolve operational problems and work in conjunction with shared service departments to maintain consistency and maximize departmental benefits.
  • Support capital and expense projects through project commissioning activities.
  • Ensure equipment reliability and efficiency via preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and manage the expense budget, maintaining facilities at appropriate cost and perform budget re‑forecasting when necessary.
  • Be knowledgeable of emergency plans and procedures to direct prompt action during an event.
  • Understand 49 CFR 192 and pipeline/facility construction, maintenance and operation.
  • Provide recommendations for system operational improvements through capital and expense project submissions as part of the annual budgeting process.
  • Support and assist with all EHS training activities, updates and compliance with EHS policies.
  • Provide supervisory relief in various areas during pipeline emergencies or business needs.
Required Skills:

Education And Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • High school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred—or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years industry experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Sound mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information in operating and equipment manuals.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to adverse weather.
  • 50% of the time in a stationary position due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders and stairs, stretching, reaching above shoulder height, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, extreme temperatures and loud machinery, requiring appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • This position is on call 24×7.
  • Managers must live within 40 miles of their reporting location.
