Reports To: Service Manager
Schedule: Full Time position

Summary: The Service Porter position in the Service Department is to assist the Technicians, Parts Counterman, Service Manager, and customers with locating and moving vehicles as needed in a timely and safe manner.

Essential Duties:

• Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions and directs them to the appropriate person or location
• Controls service traffic flow and parking
• Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment. Records customers name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage
• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
• Cleans vehicles inside and out when necessary and/or instructed
• Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of dirt, water, leaves, snow etc.
• Remains compliant with Company HR training
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Must have clean driving record
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization
