Store - MPHS-COLLIERVILLE, TN

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests.
• Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop and find what they’re looking for; ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver brand promises.
• Coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages by creating an environment of fun and creativity; demonstrate and guide participants in craft activities; perform face painting and other activities as appropriate.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons (e.g., goody bags, balloons) to company standards; communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making calls, and completing paperwork; adjust plans based on client feedback and needs; create backup or emergency plans as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events; uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions; provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) survey; assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes; complete merchandise recovery and maintenance; perform Store in Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned; support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; interact with others in a positive, respectful manner; model company vision and values; cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms.

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests of all ages and co-workers; excellent people skills.
• Experience working with children and children’s events; strong communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal) and listening skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills; retail and/or customer service experience.

• Ability to remain standing for long periods; move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes; accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
• Some nights, weekends, and early mornings; climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; potential outdoor work when retrieving carts or unloading trucks.
