Stepdown RN - Collierville, TN

An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown care within a Level I Trauma Center. This contract role offers the chance to contribute vital nursing skills in a fast-paced, acute care hospital environment providing short-term acute care services.

Responsibilities include providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care on the Stepdown and Med Surg Overflow units with a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 6 to 7. The role demands expertise in managing complex patient needs with a focus on trauma and post-acute care. Nurses in this position will follow hospital protocols while working closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The shift schedule is typically three 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with some flexibility discussed during the interview process, including weekend and on-call requirements.

Qualifications and Desired

Experience:

• Valid RN license compliant with National Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably within Level I Trauma and large hospital settings
• Proficiency in Stepdown and acute care nursing practices
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic clinical environments
• Level I Trauma experience is required
