Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Vice President of Infrastructure is responsible for the strategy, reliability, security, and modernization of the company’s global infrastructure ecosystem. This includes a complex, hybrid environment spanning multiple public cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS), enterprise SaaS applications (including Oracle Cloud ERP and Salesforce), on‑premises and distribution‑center infrastructure, IBM mainframe systems, and diverse integration technologies.

The organization is in the midst of a multi‑year digital transformation, modernizing legacy platforms while enabling scalable, cloud-based capabilities that support global distribution operations. This role is critical to ensuring that infrastructure evolves from a traditional operational function into a high‑performing, service‑oriented organization that actively enables business growth and agility.

The VP of Infrastructure is expected to be hands‑on enough to engage deeply in architectural decisions and operational challenges, while primarily focusing on building and leading teams, establishing standards and practices, managing vendor relationships, and implementing infrastructure improvements across the ecosystem while optimizing and consolidating and driving long‑term transformation outcomes.

Reporting to the CDIO, this role will lead in driving efficiency and availability across the systems with a heavy focus on transforming and modernizing our environment.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Strategy and Transformation

  • Define and execute a long‑term infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives, operational scale, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the modernization and transformation of legacy and hybrid environments, including IBM mainframe systems, while maintaining business continuity.
  • Establish cloud‑first and cloud‑appropriate standards across Azure, GCP, and AWS, balancing resiliency, performance, cost, and security.
  • Establish platform roadmaps, lifecycle management practices, and technology standards.
  • Drive architectural consistency while enabling flexibility for business‑critical use cases.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Applications, Data, and Security leaders to ensure infrastructure supports future‑state capabilities.

Reliability, Operations, and Resilience

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of mission‑critical systems supporting distribution, logistics, finance, retail channels and corporate functions.
  • Implement standardized operational practices including:
    • Incident, problem, and change management
    • Capacity planning / cost‑based engineering
    • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
    • Observability, monitoring, and performance management
  • Champion automation and self‑service capabilities to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.
  • Lead the evolution toward proactive, metrics‑driven, and reliability‑focused operations.

Security, Risk, and Compliance

  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Risk teams to embed security‑by‑design principles across infrastructure platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and data‑protection requirements across global operations.
  • Manage infrastructure‑related risk, resilience, and control environments.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with application, data, security, and business teams to ensure infrastructure solutions meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on infrastructure capabilities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with distribution center operations to ensure physical infrastructure supports efficient, reliable logistics and fulfillment.
  • Lead the creation and management of standardized provisioning frameworks that give development teams fast, secure, and compliant access to cloud resources, environments, and tooling.
  • Establish self‑service capabilities (such as automated environment creation, access request workflows, and infrastructure‑as‑code templates) to reduce friction and accelerate development velocity.
  • Collaborate with engineering leadership to define access models, guardrails, and governance that balance developer autonomy with operational safety and cost control.
