Responsible for complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely closing of the general ledger. Under moderate supervision.
Essential Functions- Responsible for complex accounting activities supporting the accurate and timely closing of the general ledger.
- Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset processing, lease/contract review, accrual entries, and/or budget variance reviews.
- Research and analysis of assigned large elements of revenue and expense and the related internal reporting.
- Ensure general ledger account balances are materially correct in compliance With internal controls and GAAP and that internal control risks are tested and documented in accordance with Sarbanes‑Oxley.
- Lead accounting initiatives/projects including: process improvement, regulatory compliance/changes and policy. Mentor less senior staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: The desired location for this position would be Collierville, TN.
Relocation: This position may be eligible for relocation.
Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or other related quantitative discipline is required. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.
Minimum ExperienceFour (4) years experience in accounting for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or in a large for‑profit corporate environment.
Knowledge,Skills And Abilities
- Excellent analytical and financial analysis skills required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP standards required.
- Outstanding knowledge of business software, spreadsheet applications and/or mainframe or web-based applications.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
