Overview PurposeThe CCA Fine Arts Department strives to develop the gifts and talents of every student through individual discovery and refinement of their God-given abilities. Our instructors are passionate about modeling the heart of Christ in everything we do. From mastery of fundamentals to the pursuit of excellence (Colossians 3:23), the beauty of God’s creation is at the very core of our instruction.
Rooted in deep faith within a classical education model, our mission is to enrich the lives of our students through the unique creativity that exists in all of us.
The Theater instructor serves the Fine Arts Department by providing high‑quality educational instruction for the middle and high school drama students. This position ensures that students receive comprehensive instruction through the analysis of plays, production aspects of a play, the study of playwrights, musical theatre, and philosophies of acting. Delivering instruction in techniques such as characterization, blocking and staging are an integral part of this position, as well.
Emphasis is also placed on theatre etiquette and performance opportunities for all levels of instruction. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and a service‑minded approach that supports excellence in the Performing Arts.
Integrate biblical truth and Christian virtues into daily work, decision‑making, and interactions with students, colleagues, and the broader community.
Provide visionary and inspirational leadership that prioritizes the good of the entire school, advancing excellence across all areas of responsibility in alignment with the mission and strategic priorities of the school.
Foster a collaborative, mission‑driven culture by partnering with the leadership team, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring that departmental goals demonstrate a pursuit of excellence.
Develop and implement an annual operating plan that establishes clear priorities, addresses student needs, and supports school‑wide initiatives within the approved budget.
Recruit, develop, and hold staff accountable to high standards of professional performance, ensuring personnel embody the mission and values of CCA while pursuing growth through evaluation and professional development.
Model professionalism, respect, and integrity in all interactions, communicating openly and consistently, responding thoughtfully to feedback, and using stakeholder survey data to guide continuous improvement for the benefit of the whole school.
