Store - PHI-COLLEGEVILLE, PA
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests.
- Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop at our store and find what they’re looking for.
- Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
- Complete operational tasks including truck unload, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards as needed to deliver our Brand Promises.
- Event Coordination: plan and coordinate multiple events at once; engage with clients of all ages; demonstrate and instruct party participants; facilitate party add-ons; communicate events with clients and store team members; complete administrative tasks; adjust plans based on client feedback; create backup or emergency plans; ensure client satisfaction; uphold cleanliness and safety; set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.

Experience:
help customers locate products, provide solutions, enroll customers in Rewards programs, assist with BOPIS/SFS, participate in truck unload, stocking, planograms, SISO, and AD set duties; maintain merchandise recovery and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies. - Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests and co-workers.
- Excellent people skills; experience working with children and children’s events; strong communication (written, verbal, nonverbal) and listening skills; organizational and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Retail and/or customer service experience required.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods; move throughout the store; regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment; reasonable accommodations available.
- Public retail store setting; some areas climate controlled; some outdoor work if assigned; nights, weekends, and early mornings.
