Columbia Cottage in Collegeville, PA is looking to hire a Food Service Coordinator / Cook to prepare meals for our assisted living community.

This cooking position earns a competitive wage starting at $20/hour
, depending on experience and education. We provide amazing benefits and perks for both full-time and part-time positions
, on the first of the month following 30 days of employment, with eligibility for vacation benefits, double-time for working holidays, and earned wage access
. For our full-time cooks,
we match 20% of the first 6% contributed for 401(k).

As a Food Service Coordinator / Cook, you are vital to the mission of our assisted living community. The delicious and wholesome food you prepare helps our residents feel cared for and supported. Every shift, you arrive on time and prepare the upcoming meal for 40-50 residents. You carefully prep the food, follow the recipe, and assemble it in a pleasing manner.

While serving, you interact with residents and help ensure their satisfaction. Afterward, you clean the kitchen and leave it spotless and orderly for the next meal’s prep. You work as part of a team to maintain a high quality of life for our residents.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Serv Safe certification is preferred
• Experience cooking for large groups; catering experience is a plus

• Full-time
• Shift/hours vary between 8- and 12-hour shifts
• 8-hour shifts typically run 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 12-hour shifts run 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Note:

This position requires a commitment every other weekend.
