Overview
Columbia Cottage in Collegeville, PA is looking to hire experienced Medication Technicians / Caregivers to help improve the quality of life for residents in our care. We are seeking a compassionate person who enjoys working with seniors and can effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a supportive, uplifting work environment with flexible schedules. The position starts at a competitive wage of $19.00 per hour, depending on CNA certification (not required) and prior experience.
Responsibilities- Prepares medications for Residents
- Assists Residents in taking medications, as per physician order
- Monitors for effectiveness and untoward effects of medications, and provides education to Residents
- Obtains blood sugars, vital signs and other bio measurements as ordered
- Motivates, encourages and provides positive feedback to Residents when assisting with medications
- Follows established policies and procedures for record-keeping on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and any associated forms related to assisting the Resident with medications
- Provides hands-on care to Residents
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medication Technician certification required
- Diabetes training required
- CPR / First Aid preferred
The following shifts are available for this position:
- Part-time; evening shift (2:30pm-11:00pm)
- Part-time; night shift (11:00pm-7:30am)
All positions, unless otherwise indicated, have an every other weekend and every other holiday obligation. Shift differentials:
Evening $2.00, Night $2.00.
