Summary:
Description Description Join an energetic, patient-focused team! Jefferson Outpatient Imaging is currently seeking an experienced Sonographer for a Full-time Flex-30 Hours Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6:30am-5pm at our outpatient imaging center located in Collegeville and Fridays 7:30am-6pm at our East Norriton location.
- The Sonographer performs sonographic procedures at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
- Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.
- Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, operates equipment and supports imaging workflows as described in the job summary.
- EXPERIENCE:
Up to 5 years experience as a licensed Sonographer. - EDUCATION:
Must be a graduate of an approved program of diagnostic sonography. - LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Must be registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or ARRT (S). For IDTF centers, OB, Abdominal, or General certification is required upon hire, and RVT certification is required within one year of hire. Non-IDTF centers require RVT certification along with OB, Abdominal or General within one year of hire, where applicable. Must meet state licensure requirements where practicing. - SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Proficient in operation of Sonography equipment and applicable ancillary equipment; ability to work independently and multitask; accurate documentation; understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology; knowledge of computer applications and data management.
